Morgan’s Place is a licensed campground in the State of Michigan. 8 campsites are available with electricity and water for the public to rent nightly from April to November each year. 100% of the funds collected for camping go directly to the support and funding of activities and programs for active military/Veterans and injured individuals – such as fishing, hiking, on-site dinners, and entertainment. Local attractions include the city of Frankenmuth, a year-round Christmas experience with many festivals and events. Also, Birch Run, with many popular attractions such as the Wilderness Trails Zoo, antiques, and one of the largest outlet malls in the Midwest, is only a 15-minute drive away!
Morgan’s Place, a not-for-profit organization founded by the Monroe Family after their daughter Morgan suffered a near fatal injury. The goal of Morgan's Place is to provide unique recovery resources for individuals and their caregivers/families experiencing physical, mental, and emotional challenges from life altering injuries. For many injured individuals, traditional therapy leaves a gap when attempting to return to “normal life”. At Morgan’s Place, we can recommend individualized recreation exercises, provide recommendations to alternative therapies, and free clinics when insurance runs out. Access to free resources, suggestions, advocacy, and sometimes just a shoulder to cry on is just what you need as you learn to navigate your “new normal”.
In 2025, the Morgan's Place family added programming for active military and Veterans due to the challenges faced by military families and based on two stories that really "hit home" with our family. As a result of the need for comradery and sense of belonging felt post deployment for the service men and women and during deployment for their loved ones.
Maintaining these programs takes a village! With your help, whether by camping, committing, making a pledge, cash or product donation or volunteering, we ask that you join us in our goal of supporting these programs, your generosity will make a huge impact on the lives of those struggling with life-altering changes, whether by deployment, post-deployment, or injury. and trauma. Remember that every donation makes a difference!
Thank you in advance for your support!
